A sharp point, without the old habit

For generations, ceramists drew the tip to a point the quick way: with their mouth. The Optimum was designed to end that. Activate the spring and the tip spins; centrifugal force throws the humidity out of the hair bundle and leaves a fine, dry, controllable point.

Drier hair means better control of the tip, and that control is the key to building homogenous ceramics.

Designed at the bench, not the drawing board

The Optimum Spring series was developed with internationally acclaimed dental ceramist Nondas Vlachopoulos. Its self-regulating spring keeps pressure consistent across every stroke, from the first opaque to the final contour.

Some colleagues prefer a traditional stable handle, and our Classic line is built for them. But the spring-activated system has become the number one selling MPF brush style worldwide, because of the versatility it brings.

Handle

Under 13 grams, perfectly balanced

Anodised aluminium with an ergonomic taper, and less than 13 grams in the hand. Not too heavy, not too light. The rear of the handle carries an integrated thorn for releasing pinned die segments from the model base, so the tool you are already holding does the job.

Tips

Kolinsky sable, made in Germany

Every MPF tip is made from the highest grade Kolinsky sable by German brush makers, with decades of experience passed down through generations. Superior liquid retention, snap-back precision and a long working life.

Tips are replaceable: keep the handle, swap the tip. Every replacement pack contains two.
